yeah the mp7 is definatley underated i have been playing as engy for a while to get my hours played up and its surprisingly good with its good accuracy at medium range when used in bursts and of course its awesomne rate of fire, its also very effective close up in fact a lot of the time i take down f2000 and ak47 guys at close range just becuase of how fast it can spit those bulelts out and large magasine.

The problem with questions like this is you are going to get everyones opinion, and generally opinions vary. I'm quite partial to the G3, but I don't have all the unlocks though.

Maybe it just seems easy to me because I am US Army certified Expert Rifleman IRL
37 of 40 timed targets on record fire day in basic training (3 out of 3 @ 300m w/ the M16) w/ NO SCOPE

Have you ever stopped to consider that maybe, just maybe, real ppl who are "1337", or have "skillz" IRL like playing online video games too

Also IRL when I shoot deer, I shoot them through the lungs 100% of the time (that way they don't run far), & that's harder than a headshot, & w/ a scoped shotgun too!! :confused

You know what is underrated in BF2? them fixed MG emplacements. They is deadly, and you can hide!

I used to hate the chinese weapons. Now i'm finding out that the QBZ, AK47 and Type 95 (Chinese LMG) are basically (for me) the best weapons in the game.
We definatly need urban chinese maps to truley test out these guns though. I can imagine that maybe they would maybe overpower the USMC abit too much...

ok, the svd is obviously the best sniper rifle, to anyone who uses it.

i dont care how many snipers pretend that they are elite or hardcore and get headshots, but from 170 hours of Bf2 ranked experience and many more of BF1942 and mods, SNIPERS DONT GET HEADSHOTS, UNLESS BY ACCIDENT OR COINCIDENCE! there.

They might be lucky shots for you, but, according to my 50 or so hours spent with a virtual rifle, they definitly ain't for me!
I mostly do headshots, and that is precisely why I like the SVD on urban maps : you can line them up.
On larger maps I stick with the L96 though, better zoom and more predictable bullet drop (although that's just lack of long-range experience with the Dragunov)

How is the SAW better than PKM and MG36, at least in this game? With the horrible accuracy, or with the 25 damage per round, versus the PKM's 45?

Accuracy is hardly "horrible" since the 1.2 patch. Only slightly worse than the MG36 (the best outside of EF) and PKM. Damage per round is not as important as damage per second; there the SAW is better than anything except the Type 95 which is identical. SAW also has the largest magazine so you're less likely to get caught in the middle of reloading.

I remember when the MG36 had a fairly low max deviation and it was (In my opinion) the most accurate LMG. Now... I don't really see a point of using it.

As of patch 1.22 the MG36 is again the most accurate LMG (except for the HK21 which is only available on EF maps).

Very true.

Especially the QBZ-97, I have no idea why its modeled like that, its not even how it looks, its as if the foregrip has retracted inside the gun itself. I hate the sights too, uneven and too pin-like, same goes for the Type 95. Very good though.

AK-47 is basically a G3 but better CQC useage, easier to get longer range shots and 10 more rounds. Only 2 damage less than the G3.

The semi auto snipers are extremely effective for attack sniping, if you plan on moving in on a flag or coming quite close to enemies where they are going to spot you, it can drop them real fast if used right. Too bad these dont have crosshairs to be used like a G3 on semi auto.

the 5.56 SAW weapons are extremely effective in CQC fights, Not so much long range although it can be done. But they are basically as fast as a SMG, but with 6 more damage, meaning quite strong and will deliver fast. So spray a load of shots and you will kill anyone in close range before they will kill you, as long as you start shooting as soon as they do.

I feel all the weapons are VERY good, you just have to find out which situations you need certain ones in. And taking a look at the stats for each gun is a good idea.

Knowing that a L85A1 and a F2000 can drop a light infantry troop with 3 rounds is very handy to know.

Yeah nade spamming is a problem, and you CANT say it takes skill to left click in one general direction lol....

Nade isn't under weapon....

SCAR-L is unde and so is m-16....

Well, maybe you need to "speak for your self", because believe it or not, there are ppl that are "plain, & simple", just better marksman than you are, in my 1100hrs. of Bf2 ranked experience, it is very easy to get 3, 4, or 5 headshots in succession against prone, or standing, but not running adversaries

I have had strings of headshots @ the trainwreck in Karkand so many times "it ain't even funny" (but you get POUNDED by arty)

You put the M24/L96's crosshair in the middle of a non moving soldiers head (prone sniper), & click the left mouse button, works 100% of the time

Granted, you get shot first once in while, waiting for the "clean head shot", but when you get them, it "damn sho'" ain't no accident

22 = cannot graduate, repeat cycle
23-29 = Marksman
30-36 = Sharpshooter
37-40 = Expert

btw 12 of my 160 man company (about 8%) scored Expert, so my profeciency level is not even close to rare, or "unheard of"

Wanna here somethin' really funny? I know that when I shot @ this 1 guys head, (whose head was just sticking out around a corner) I missed by say 3-6 in., & I still got credit for the kill, could be lag between the server, & my PC, or maybe the hitbox, is actually bigger than the head hitbox (or just a bunch of triangles), just like the collision matrix is??

Try the Marine Corps where we hit targets out to 500m with iron sights. (Just a little service rivalry.:p ) I'm also a high expert shooter as well as a marksmanship instructor and I can tell you that my "real life" skills have almost no bearing on how well I play my game. This is considering that many of the people playing this game have likely never shot a weapon and they still own me.

I can say that I know 100% that I can make headshots in this game. I don't know what carebear was thinking when he said that. Sometimes I'll miss an opportunity to hit someone waiting on them to sit still for a split second but other than that, headshots are fairly common...especially when they go prone. I haven't touched a semi auto sniper in a while so I'm going to have to pick one back up and try it out again. I just love the L96 too much. :)

My one underrated weapon is the pump shotgun. I love that thing.
