Sup guys, this site is off the hook!! I was looking for some info about BF2 and found your site, great job. Anyway, off to my question: You all know BF2 has an ingame browser(by browser I mean the list of servers under the multiplayer tab), the problem I have is that that browser only lists high pings, 250+ and no servers in my area. I contacted EA and all they could ever say was, uninstall the latest patch, that was when the first patch came out. I had the problem then and I have it now. I have a DSL connection with SBC. Oh, and I have the all seeing eye, where I can actually see servers with low pings listed, but of course, ASE cannot connect you directly to those servers. What could I do? Thanks for the help.

I should ask my next question since I'm here already....where could I find a full guide to the BF2 rcon commands? from changing maps, to kicking and most importantly banning players (banning to support our no racism or such things that we dont want to see at our server) Thanks again.

Go to Game-Monitor.com. You can search for different regions of servers, specific maps, server variables, etc. Be sure to install the BF2 Protocol so all you have to do is press "Play" to launch BF2!!

You may need to change the filters for the in game browsing to work correctly, well at least mine is OK atm (knock on wood).

To connect directly from ASE, you just need to add a couple of things to connect, which is discussed here.

Look in your BF2 manual for the list of port numbers to open on your router (if you have one), might lower your pings a bit

if your going to admin a server you might want to check out the BF2CC admin software.

Isn't there a list of commands that one can enter from the console window? or does it have to be a software app.?
