Armed Assault is coming

In ArmA, as in Flashpoint before it, you're just a soldier. There is a war raging around you which you didn't plan to be in, but you are a professional and you can (and must) handle it. The situation is quite complicated - there are just a few US soldiers left on the island when the invasion begins so you can't simply start a full scale conflict. You help the local militia in their desperate attempts to defend their country, but they are just farmers, not professional soldiers. On the other side there is a real army with old but heavy weaponry and you have to understand that you and your team-mates are the only force that stands in their way.

Why cant anyone just fight soldier to soldier. That is going to prove just how good people are in the game. I can see how some strategy would come in handy in that scenario though.

Why cant anyone just fight soldier to soldier. That is going to prove just how good people are in the game. I can see how some strategy would come in handy in that scenario though.

you'll be pleased to know the game is almost infantry only

Its not hyper realistic...if it was, Lawyer would be a playable class.

Flashpoint was awesome..but at the same time crap...but mainly awesome, but still crap.

Cos the gameplay was great in MP and SP, but it was so short and the MP was kinda faffy and time consuming.

What were the multiplayer issues? Netcode and stuff?

My main concern is netcode. If that is all fine and dandy I have no major worries.
