Can't find install folder for battlefield 2(TM). [patch 1.22]

Can't get this patch (1.22) to work because my battlefield isn't installed in default location.

So now i can't play anymore, because i am unable to patch...

ive tried moving the patch to the right folder and running it from there but no luck.

I've had problems before but this is ridiculous. There must be a way to run it in DOS prompt somehow, i'm not familiar with DOS commands, so any help would be highly appreciated.

why isnt the battlefield2 in its default location? you might get away with moving the folder to its proper destination C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\ ( i thnk)

Must be something in the way that you installed BF2 originally. I have never installed it to C:\, and have never had a problem installing patches or anything else (SF & EF). Hell I even went as far as to get the Downloader to work from D:\, took about of modifying in the Prefs.ead but it works.

can you clarifuywhat you mean by the registry settings? The newest patch won't install for me I get the same error message.

I also CAN'T uninstall the damn game. I have no idea why.

that didnt work for me either, my drives are partitioned, would that make a difference?
