  • EA Downloader / startup sequence

Not really a BF2 question really... but maybe someone can help non-the-less.

I really want to stop the EA downloader from loading up with windows, but theres no option of dissabling it from always starting with windows. I don't want to un-instal it completely as it's quite handy to get updates.

    Any ideas?

I use regedit, it has a handy Startup List option, lets you edit your startup programs. You can also type msconfig into RUN, goto Startup, and uncheck it.

Just in case others want to remove the EAD from starting up without using regedit, you can change this in the EAD itself.

With the EAD open, click on the "edit", then the "auto start".

In the EAD popup, remove the check from the "Start Automatically" box.
