The reason why your legs stick out of the wall if you hide in a corner

EA should atleast reprogram them so the hitbox doesn't have any effect if damage is implied during that glitch.
Or maybe they can fix their terribly unoptimized game engine so they could actually make the soldiers collision mesh effectively be the BODY of the person and interect properly with static objects?

that would lag like crap
the collision mesh is only for static objects, the actualy model is what the bullets are lookin for (don't need a model around that - just some numbers to calculate).
So that big jewel box isn't what to aim for - it's what can't go through static objects. Because of the dynamic nature of this mobile (the soldier) collision mesh, it is necessary to have it at a VERY low poly level. This is because the closer you get to a static mesh in BF2, the more calculations are done.
This is why the ESSEX is like 3 or 4 different collision models in one, in order to ensure that the calculations don't get too large for something getting close to the front of the carrier. This way, the back of the carrier won't be included in those calculations

Yeah, same here... doesn't feel like a legit kill eh? I wonder if there's a way they can program it so that anything proned against a wall perpendicularly will bend their legs or something (i.e collapse into the wall rather than go through them). Then again, we should stop making such suggestions, and work on having EA and DICE fix the damn thing once and for all- returning the game to it's once un-nerfed, un-boosted, and un-bug-infested state.

Brr...I don't want to think about trying to program some of that stuff. Went through a crash course of physics for games, most of its is simple and can be done readily. But yes, the higher the number of polygons thecalcuation goes up. Though watching the physics in the game blow up would be awesome, I'd say crouch instead of proning when next to a wall.
Re: The reason why your legs stick out of the wall if you hide in a corner
I never lie in a corner because of this problem. I always stand or stay away from the wall enough to avoid this issue. No one killed me from behind a wall because of this so far, but I did it with others many times.
It seems that they cannot make a dynamic mesh that changes shape accordingly.
