Anyone else find it odd you have European forces not actually involved in real life in the boosters fighting Middle Eastern forces and real life forces left out?

Don't forget that the game takes place in the future when these European forces might have been formed. They're also flying the Eurofighter which, I believe, isn't in active duty yet. Perhaps someone can confirm this.

well see maybe i can explain why, some of us are realists, and this is what drew us to bf42 close as you can get (at the time) real virtual weapons, maps based on actual battles real armies from the battles... so we carried this feeling over to BF2 perhaps we were mistaken to and actually many of us wait for FH2 for our realism fix LoL

Look at it in their perspectiv. They die, they get mad and want to complain. Since none of their friends listen or he has no friends, he finds the first and best forum. Then they need a backup for their complains that they die to much and then compare it to reallife.

Not saying that this post does, but I'm now refering to the people moaning that guns suck and such.

To make this post more relative to the thread, this game is in the near future, so EU forces was formed in the mean time. Just like MEC.

its based upon the very american assumption that eventually there will be the 'united states of europe' almost exactly like the USA.

Its a brilliant and very optimistic idea but what the yanks forget is we all hate each other!

Pity really because the united states of europe would kick ass in fact it would probably take americas crown.

                  i love you wargimp :)

When will people realise that if -

1 - you want an arcadey fast paced shooter which isnt unfairly realistic but is set in a familiar modern day setting you play BF2 or

2 - you want a hardcore realistic war simulator with the ability to travel 10 miles on foot to tying your shoe laces you should wait for Armed Assault

me i want both so I play BF2 and await Armed Assault eagerly

the united states of europe sounds iffy, but is a fun thought. We do have the europian union though, but my country is not apart of it. (Norway)

ahh norge' i remember it well, but the only norwiegan I remember is how to ask a girl to dance... skal vi danse

I was in Norway in 1980 doing a Nato Operation froze my butt off but its such a beautiful country, what really amazed me was as i commanded my USMC tank along a narrow road on a mountain side the Norge forces would ski along above us on the moutain really fast shooting simulated RPG's at us, it woulda been tank commander's nightmare trying to really defeat that in a real war.

I enjoy the strategy part of the game. The fighting part maybe is arcadish. But if you would care to pull yourself out a bit and look at the game from aother perspective, you will find you need some tactics there to win a round.

To win, you have to play good as a team, and all the facilities are there for you to use to support team work. It's your call as to use them or not.

If you look at a dice from one angle, you can never see there are 6 faces of a dice. You have to rotate the dice and check it out from other angles then you will see all faces of a dice.
