Press the windows key + the pause/break key. Go to the advanced tab, press startup and recovery and uncheck the automatically restart checkbox. When you've done that start bf2 again and see what the BSOD says (if you get a BSOD).

EDIT: It's probably a hardware or driver issue if you get a bluescreen.

SF adds new armies, vehicles, weapons and maps. It's an expansion pack.

Yup and yup. Your SF stats become part of your total BF2 stats.

          (answering 2, 3, & 4)
          2. BF2 is the standard (vanilla) game, and SF is the expansion.. . .
          3. You need to have BF2 installed before you can install the Expansion (SF).
          4. Yes, you can. An advantage to doing this is getting more unlock choices when you rank up, after having played a round in the Special Forces Expansion pack. (Default Unlocks (Tier1: G36C -through- DAO-12) + Special Forces Unlocks (Tier 2: SCAR-L -through- P90) )

EDIT: CRud, I'm late, very. me and slow typing fingers... -_-
