Don't forget to check your optical mice!

I was playing really bad for a while tonight. I felt like I was having a little trouble aiming, but I wasn't quite sure why. I was really having a problem tracking moving targets. I just thought I was having an off night. Then I thought, duh, check the mouse. Of course there was a hair caught in there and it was fine after I got it out. It seems obvious but some people might overlook that. Just a friendly reminder to keep those optics clean!

just to touch up on this subject, for some reason i can move my mouse or keyboard in 1.22, dont know why, doing a fresh uninstall/restart/install/restart/patch/defrag to see if that will fix it, if anyone else has this problem well then this might be the worst bf2 bug EVER

If you mean CANT then i have had that problem also. BUT i didnt need to uninstall and reinstall etc etc. All that happened was a crash somehow caused bf2 to forget absolutely every key, mouse and joystick binding in the whole game, giving me the effect of no mouse, keyboard or joystick. Because its so odd i would never have checked in the bindings section to see nothing is binded whatsoever. So i just clicked on defaults, altered all my custom settings and away i went again.

i went to control panel > mouse properties > hardware [tab] > properties > advanced settings

theres an adjustment for sample rate and input buffer length (im not sure this will help any one or it works for bf2 ...... )

              funny story:

i give my 50-some year old hippie neighbor his first optical mouse.

he turns it over and says "where's the ball?"

              to which i respond "it's a girl"

He looked at the optics (while it was not plugged in) and observed "Is this the vagina?"

I said "Yes, and if you plug it in and touch it's vagina it will get REALLY red".

He called me 20 minutes later laughing his ass off "I didn't think you were serious. I stuck my finger right on that sensor and the whole thing lit my living room red! and I laughed my ass off because I've never gotten to third base with a mouse!"

              fun stuff.

just remembered, you should also remind some people using laser mice to disconnect it first before looking at it from the bottom to prevent vision discomfort (at very least)...

believe me obvious things to most people , for a small amount of the population are not so obvious

my friend was trying to do the same thing (clean the mouse ) but he didnt disc .

hes still seeing green circles or something ,,TRUE story
