Anyone else think that BF2142 just looks like a mod for bf2?
I mean theyre making it into a whole game but yet it looks like some random mod.

Well im going to try and say this in the nicest way. This has been pointed out alot and everyone thinks that and we all know not many people like it but guys this is a bf2 forum so I understand some post about it. I just dont every other thread about how gay it will be.

Its being created useing the BF engine so yes it is a mod, but its an official mod that your will have to pay for.

Techincally, it is a mod, as its using the smae enigne, but i think it looks different enough to be considered a different game. (like SF)

Same engine means that its going to "feel" the same so I dont think many of us will have a problem getting used to it; but as a differenet game - like you said, i dont think it will sell as much as BF2.

i think this game will have potential, especially since its like combining bf2 + halo + metal gear solid and hopefully a pinch of splinter cell (like for single player) that would be awesome. Hopefully there will be a GOOD story line....

Something tells me there won't be single player and the storyline just gives them a reason for their different environments

Well, at least there IS a storyline this time. I dont think BF2 even has a plot. at all.

There's no overall plot but each map has its own storyline if you read the map info on the loading screen. And chances are you're spending a lot of time at the loading screen so you may as well

i think people shud stop bringing it up truthfully. i mean bf2 didn't come out that long ago and everyone is worried about sum game that isn't even really thought out yet. and seriously who the hell wants to run around wit a laser gun. rite now BF2142=G@Y

What lasers are you talking about? There were no lasers in the trailer.
