Actually i live in Canada and got some pings of 30 on some EU servers. It is possible and the connection is pretty stable

For one thing, the UK folks were the first to get the patch and server updates. You might have been playing on a UK server which can majorly effect your ping and performance. Are you sure this was not the cause?

People seem to be ignoring the advice to update punkbuster and give it another try.

I solved this exact problem with a pb update. But it seems that most people are just deliberately ignoring this suggestion also in other threads.

All I can say is go ahead and give it a try.
In my opinion this patch was rather good, and did not create more problems.

Yea...i live in SG so internode is the server for us because its ping is only 70-95 but after some patch it went to 250+ now!!!! wth now i have like only 2-3 server with 80-100 ping and internode have a lot of servers for us to play. This is ridiculous, DICE should really fix this problem very very soon and i have updated my PunkBuster all that stuffs already...
