Type the line "renderer.drawfps 1" in your profile file "Profile.con" at My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\000?\Profile.con. If the line appears to disappear everytime you start BF2, make it read-only.

get fraps and you need a cap on the F so its renderer.drawFps 1
