I have the BF2 disc in the drive, but evertime I go to start BF2 it comes up the logo Battlefield 2 and then its supposed to go to a black screen then EA games challenge everything etc, well it stays at the logo, then abotu 2 mins later comes off it and says BF2 is not responding send an error report to microsoft etc, I'd add a screen but I think everyone knows what the not responding message looks like on Winxp, anyway what is wrong? I have tried so many times to get BF2 started but it just won't.

Odd. I say defrag all your drives/partitions first. Or did you already? -

Firewall/AV running the background? Recent changes to your firewall?
If not, probably time to reinstall BF2. As ^^^ points out, you should defrag between the uninstall and the reinstall.Comment
