The question is, how much has it been nerfed? It could be very minor to the point that it's hardly noticable.
I never had so much fun playing Karkand since 1.12 finally assualt owns again. 1st run as assualt against pkm whores i came out with gold and a 30 for 10 kd ratio. Mec Assault hotel area only. Full 64 man server complete with grenade spam and spawn camping LAV25's
The PKM and MG36 had their minimum deviation raised to 0.35. That's it.
Deviation rate and maximum deviation are the same as they were pre-patch.
The prone dropping.... No idea. I just tried it, if you drop prone while you're standing with max accuracy, you wind up prone at max accuracy. If you drop prone at worst accuracy, you wind up prone with your worst accuracy. But it's still your worst prone accuracy, and the accuracy gain is immediate.
So basically the PKM is no longer a sniper rifle. It's just a G36E that hurts like a bitch when it hits. And close range.... Time will tell, but so far I can't tell the difference.
Ironically, despite the rampant flaming I got from people like variable, the changes are pretty much exactly what I hoped they'd be.
And you can still rambo people with it, and you can still expect to immediately hit your target after dropping prone. Sorry guys, rambo support lives on. See you on the other side of the barrel!
Just curious as to why no official statement has been made. Are the EA Official servers updated? I'm at work so I can't check it out.
EA UK is about as official as it gets. The EA website usually takes 12-24 hours to update after a patch release. Some of the official ones have been patched yeah.

I'm glad that you got what you wanted - but it still doesn't make it the right answer. And depending on the impact, they might've completely marginalized Support on any maps that aren't Karkand, which was my chief fear.
At face value, .35 deviation + 450 RPM + 500 m/s bullets doesn't look like a promising equation for the PKM. The SAW has .3, but it has the advantage of a much faster fire rate. Doesn't look balanced to me, but I'm not going to pass any final judgments until I can get home and test things later.
I didn't mess with the PKM, but I like the way the MG36 feels. It's still accurate enough to be effective, but you can't pop off those 100+ m shots with 100% accuracy.
The P90 on the other hand doesnt feel any different at all... the MP5 still rocks its socks off anyday.
I dont know, maybe it was just my imagination, but it seemed like some of the weapons had their draw time increased a bunch. It hurt bad playing as AT. You know when you pop that second rocket into an APC, and the guy jumps out and guns you down... well, I couldn't even fire the P90 before I was killed. It happened several times. Feels really clunky, so it seems like something was changed, but maybe not...

Agreed so many people were calling kit balance foul issuing the opening argument. "ONe time on Karkand......"
I dont know about you guys but lately when i've been playing, i cant think of really anything other then the red tag bug, that ...........bugs me about the game.
I think the game is really about as good as anyone could get it, in terms of balance, weapons etc.
I can think of one big thing. The TOW weapon. I fired one just today at a APC at close range and it only smoked and killed me. If it hits, it should blow up
