Hey there!
M4nicMin3r has written a tutorial, on how to create Ribbons.
The tutorial is very simple to create your own ribbons.

Nice work by M4nicMin3r however it would stuff up the Normal Bf2 stats as there is not enough room really for the standard bf2 ribbors, you can't add a square out of no where :p Just poor planning if they did choose to add another ribbon which I don't think they did.

err? you never heard of Alternative Battlefield Ranking?
its not for adding these ribbons to the original BF2, but to MOD's!

the idea is that a mod uses ABR.
the only thing that needs to be actually IN a mod to make use of ABR is the graphics, as these ribbons.
the rest is all external stuff. scoring and gamemode etc.

With this design competition we try to discover new talent in this 'new' area of Modding, and as you see, the tutorial is really helping!

lots of nice designs, just waiting to be embedded in a mod :P

I was talking about adding them to the original game as in you could get those ribbons but you failed to see that.

shpox, i did see that but.....

The chance that EA will embed these is SO small.....if not impossible.
and the chance that someone will put them in a mod is way bigger, hell! some of the designs will get featured in the Realitymod.

... and apart form that: i just had to bring ABR up :P

Looks like i unleashed a modders monster with my quick ribbon making tutorial.

Amazing to see that so many ppl are having a go at it themselves!.

Im afraid Inspiration is all i can give back to the bf2 community coz im a skint artist :P

Very nice, M4nicMin3r - I always love it when people make tutorials, too. It's always helpful to see how other people make things like that and pick up some new tricks. Great job!

Well its hardly 'advanced' photoshop stuff but there are lots of little tweeks you could add to the designs i suppose.
Just a good one to get ppl started and those creative juices flowing

How do I get the Blue Peter one??????

I can make a noobtube from a toilet roll
