Whats the deal with the mines?

Hi Guys,

I've only just started messing around with explosive ordinance and I have to say it's great fun putting the opposing team members up in the air! My question though is basically, how long do they last after you deploy them? I mean I've seen me put a few down (claymores), then gotten myself killed, but the mines still seem to be where I've left them when I've respawned.

Claymores hang around for a while after you are dead. I am not sure how long, or even if they have a time limit at all, someone else will have to provide you with specifics. I do know its at least several minutes.
