Ranking question from new player.

As a new player I'm starting out on single player to make sure I've got some clue as to what I'm doing before going online.

I've just spent a couple of hours playing the new euro force maps.

I've played as a medic, a sniper and as an anti tank soldier. At the end of the battle I got the top score among the euro team. I was surprised when going back to the menu that my rank hasn't built at all. I know you don't get promotion every game but I'd have thought the progress bar would have built up.

Can you only earn promotion and unlocks and things online?

You only earn the points toward your rank online.

Thanks, I guess I should enter the online battle soon then. (no doubt i'll get my butt kicked for a while.)

True that, if your not familer with games like BF1942 or massive multiplayer games like me then it will no doubt take time to get familier with the games, only games I played before BF2 was fps games like Quake, SOF2, D3, cs etc but BF2 is a fps but its a whole different environment, more thought needed strategy etc.

Don't forget to get play online you need to get the latest patch.

and u need to play on RANKED only...
