A noob question.
As a student (not a practicing soldier) of military history I learned that mines were a legitimate way of limiting enemy mobility.
I thought this would be especially effective in dealing with the USMC armor blitz in Karkand. The tactic has been successful in past games, slowing the opponents advance to a crawl and gaining time for MEC armor to arrive.
However my fellow gamers have punished me, time and again, when they run over these mines (either deliberately or not
). The tactic seems to be unpopular among friendlies.
Am I missing some finer point in the "Stats race" (no i dont participate in that) or perhaps some protocol in engineer tactics?
