Battlefield 2142 , personal opinion.

Guys how sweet does Battlefield 2142 look , has anybody noticed they have the new urban digital camo on there APCs and I think the infantry basic uniform. ...I hope the APCs now can carry the correct amount of personal in the back.

And along comes Quakewars. Screw this new BF game unless its a exspansion like SF. If its a new game screw it.

Cause if you think about it, the stats for BF2 prob like BF1942 will be wiped.

bf2 looked sweet too... but remember, ea made it.. (ok dice..whatever..same thing..)

ea can f anything up...not to mention until they get a real voting system
that works...AND admins have more control over their server settings this
series will continue to have smacktards ruining the game..

It seems like ET:QW is just slapping on huge environments to the Quake 4 engine. Heeere comes the lag.

IMO It looks poor, its going to be rushed and just as buggy as BF2. I cant wait for Quakewars. Quakewars > Bf2142.

You can say the same for 2142. Same broken engine as BF2, same problems as BF2, just a more of a cliche as far as theme goes.

The BF2 engine can handle the environments it has.

More of a cliche? So is ET:QW. And there hasn't been a good sci-fi vehiclular multiplayer game since Tribes 2. UT2004 doesn't really count since the vehicles weren't much of a focus and were kind of half-assed.

Bf2 has a functional large area engine (though based on my own experimentation, the Doom3 engine could run large areas with up to 50 players without TOO much hassle)

Personally, I think that et.qw will be the worser one. While bf2 bases itself on realistic expanses of human tech, Quake has focused on strogg warfare and quite frankly, if you have a space travelling race of super-genome terminators knock at your door, don't you think they'd be able to kill you without a second thought?

Such is the lack of logic in the Quake series.

there was a game called Soldner. Back then everyone talked about how it's going to rock battlefield 2 with its 128 people multi player, fully destructable terran, and huge number of weapons/vehicles.

turned out that after 20+ patches, not crashing 5 mins into the game was a feat and the 16 person server is as laggy as Bf2's 64 person server.

Face it, BF2 engine is the BEST engine that supports large scale better with descent graphics. don't think quake war will beat it.

Well see..you can't judge it by Doom3 engine, cause it's not the same old engine anymore
