            what mobo are you running?

            Ive got MSI K8N NEO4-F

            I have BIOS manually set to 2-3-3-6/1T. Memtest for 24Hours no errors.

            Also i have a A64 3700+ San Diego core which supports 1T timings with DDR400 ram.

            Some cores wont support the 1T timing with DDR400.

              i have and amd athlon 3200+ and an albatron k8sli. Ill try to movie it to 1t and run memtest and all that. But it seems to perform very well as is so I might just leave it be.

                What core is yer cpu running?

                Here some info on mem controller timings for AMD CPU's-

                Clawhammer, Newcastle, Winchester:
                4x double sided (16 chips) = 2T 333mhz
                4x single sided (8 chips*) = 2T 400mhz

                Venice, X2, etc
                4x double sided (16 chips) = 2T 400mhz
                4x single sided (8 chips*) = 1T 400mhz

                * - May depend on ram

                If i understand it correctly. any core Venice or newer, will support 1T timings @ DDR400. either single or double sided sticks. It does however require setting the DRAM Command Rate option in your BIOS to MANUAL and 1T.

                  1. I have venice core.
                  2. how much is the difference between 1t and 2t? because I serisouly cant imagine how much faster it could get, I mean with my 2-3-3-8 or w/e settings its at with 2t, I get speeds that I could never even imagine. so... how much better would it be, especially with my 960mhzfsb (4x multiplyer), and 240HTT.
                  3. yeah, I can do it manually of course, but from what you said I thought it was automatic.

                    Im not sure what the performance gains would be for your system. I just noticed a drop in load times for games, and also when working in photoshop.

                      1T command rate does make a significant difference in memory bandwidth. If you have to raise Tcas to 3, I would do it. The Corsair XMS 2GB and G. Skill PC4000 2GB are the best kits I've seen around for their prices.

                        I have the Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3500LL Pro TwinX (2x1GB) CAS2 @ 2-3-2-6 1T with the DFI LanParty NF4 SLI-DR EXPERT.

                        when I first pluged in the ram my mobo auto set it to 2T, when I set it to 1T I got around a 13% increase in memory bandwidth (according to sandra 2005).
