Yes... maybe all the pilots will go play and leave us infantry alone...? Not likely. An air booster would only be fun for the pilots if there were units on the ground to engage. And why would groud troops and tankers want to play then? They would have to cleverly disguise it, or put air maps into a booster with more than JUST air.

Sir community occasional big dogfighting games will most likely beat any air combat booster pack.

I myself only care about dogfighting. I could care less about trying to bomb ground targets. The new patch has made it alot less "fun" to go after ground targets anyway.

What about helis though... its great fun to engage in attack chopper battles, dont get me wrong, but pretty much ONLY being able to battle other attack choppers might be a bit boring. For jets, it would be okay for air-to-air combat, but that would be about the only thing fun in the maps... flying jets. May as well be playing another game.

Dice would never make something that the community requests. Just look at 2142. Most don't want it, and they are still making it lol.

I disagree. It's not challenging at all to take out ground targets nor is it fun. I can spend 10 mins in the sky bombing targets just for points when in reality I'm trying to find other elusive pilots. I doubt that anyone plays as ground units in the big sir community dogfights anyway :P. Isn't that what it's all about? Dogfighting? If the sir community can attract enough players to such an event whose only purpose is for dogfighting, then I'm sure enough people would be attracted to a booster pack made for air combat only.

i personaly think we've already got a air combat booster "EF"
the operation smoke screen am the quarry map seem more like air combat maps.
dont get me wrong im not complaining about these maps i like them alot for air combat battles especially smoke screen with the burnt out oil refinerys just looks awsome as you fly by.
the worst map has got to be the great wall only reason i dont like it is because of the wall glitch where you can get inside the wall an nail every body:evil:

You can thank the community for our new and awesome AA as well as the PKM. By all accounts, 2142 is DICE's dream project. No amount of bitching is gonna stop 2142 from happening.

well i for one deffo want it,im a fan of the bf series so far an i see it as a change from the update battles some thing futurastic is more than welcomed even if its just to make a change from the normal.
the only thing im not happy about is the fact that there releasing another verson of bf2 with out even finishing the current game,
EA/DICE have the habbit of releasing pc games before there complete.
just my personal veiw it.
