    Where should I be at.

Well, I for one love asking these questions. Let's me know if something is horribly wrong, without messing up everything even more. Like others, I just want to know where my BF2 settings should be at. When searching, im getting some conflicting reports, so now I ask my own. :)

    Here's my rig...

    AMD XP 2500+
Gigabyte GA-7VT600(-L) (5 PCI, 1 AGP, 3 DDR DIMM, Audio)
    1 gig ram (2700)
    Apollo 6800 128mb AGP

So, what is the "norm" for me? Here's my current settings,

1024x768 @ 70 hz (Should the hz be higher?)
Effects on High, everything else medium... view distance 100%
    AA off.

I get some stuttering at times, other times It wont. Maybe its the load lag I hear. I dunno, beam me some info!

ur current settings are fine...i guess...and the 70hz has no difference between 60hz or 75hz for lcd monitors (or none that i can see) but it wont affect performance...setting ur agp aperature to 256mb mite help ur video card

Another 1GB of RAM will allow you to play with more settings at High. Stuttering seems to happen to most people, dunno why though.

Turn dynamic shadows and dynamic lighting to low, the visual difference is minimal but the performance gain will be helpful.
