    Some squads????

OK i was playing 'Great Wall' cant remember server. I was doing really well, had 5 kills and 0 deaths. (2 mins into game) Was laying mines in good spots (ie over the wall at the arches and stuff). Supporting the squad 100% and had better score than the rest of them. Then i get kicked from squad even tho there was only 3 in the squad?????

I had alot to offer but it seems they didnt care...... so much for teamwork
I swiftly removed myself from that non teamwork server
edit.... i hope they got r@ped!!!

Yeah I don't like it when they have a squad named for their clan and don't lock it, but instead kick you whenever you join it. After that I make it a point to stand over their dead bodies when they call for a medic

If it was 2 buddies then fair enough but should they not lock the squad???
BF2 is teamwork!!! and dont forget that. That is also as bad as squad leaders who fly around in jets, or are sniper and you spawn in a very stupid position!
If your gonna opperate a 2 man squad, do the rest of your team a favour and lock it!
Troybob...... please tell me the main function of a squad leader???????

        Do you need a clue?

          Re: Some squads????

          *sigh*

          ok so here's why:

Me and a friend will play BF2. We sit right next to each other (he doesn't have internet where he lives, he leaves his comp here).

If I locked the squad - he wouldn't be able to leave and join so that we can switch position (like if i die as squad leader). If I locked it I would need to leave, and then have him invite me to the squad while he was fighting for his life. Not too effecient is it?

It also helps when my 8 year old neighbor plays with me. I don't want to rely on him to invite me to our squad when i leave and join.

So we just keep it open. If someone joins we kick them when we need to switch positions so that way the unkown doesn't get squad leader (if we do it by accident, we would just create a new squad and he would be in a squad by himself, so the result is the same).

Now mind you when i play by myself I'm a good squad leader and I don't kick people from my squad. I'd give you a definition of a squad leader but I think you're just misinformed as to this particular tactic.

But when it's just me and him we just use the squad feature as a convenience, which makes it an easily exploitable feature.

Besides, no one loses sleep because they got kicked from a squad of 2.

I don't need a clue, you just needed to know the why's of my doins. :)
