I know EA have rules.

But ..... show me one server thats had its ranking revoked for somethiung similar (other than for stat padding or hack/cheating).

How can you enforce a server owner to stop banning people for using armour if these are his individual prefrences ?

If you dont like EA's set of fairly unrestrictive rules, make your server, or go play on a............... unranked server.
Its pretty simple.
The rules are there only to at least "try" to keep folks semi honest, because there is a ranking systems in place. Therefore the game should be played how the devs wanted or, percieved it to be played. Thus RANKED server. Like I said, if you dont like it, (and i cant understand why you wouldnt, its the game you bought) then go unranked.
There really isnt a discussion here, Ranked Servers have a set of rules. They arnt hardcore by any means.
Stat Padding. Not allowed either on ranked servers.
BTW. I reported on BF2rs forums re: some padders..... within 2 days their stats were reset. Any one thinking that they dont have to worry about resets.........guess again.
