I don't know, I just entered a server and they dropped me into the map with all invisible landscapes and invisible armies... It never happened before, but it's just really strange. I can see gunshots and hear gunshots, and I can drive invisible vehicles and get shot by invisible guys. And I also seem to run really slow too.

Excess heat in the computer or too high overclock on a graphics card may cause this. But the patches ARE known to present many graphical glitches to some users.

I've had that happen once - funnily enough, also on Karkand. And that was on my old rig with no overclocks on it, and quite early in my evening of gamnig too, so there shouldn't have been too much heat kicking around. No idea what caused it. But I left that server and joined another, and it was fine again.

most of the time, this is purely a connection problem. simply reconnect. ive seen it it many other online games. quake.CS.etc.

I had the same problem happen to me last night. I left the server, reconnected and still had the same problems. I think what happened was I hid BF2 to log on to TS during the load, and some of the textures or something didn't load properly - I could see explosions and some other random stuff (like a chopper's propellers) but not the ground or even the chopper. I ended up leaving battlefield, reloading the game, and then reconnecting and it was fine. I'll post some screenies when I get home.
