DICE: BF 2142 w/ widescreen support?

To DICE,

Do you have any plans on offering widescreen support for your new game, Battlefield 2142?

If so, will there be an available patch/option in the near future which will give the community this option with BF2? I know it's been brought up before, I'm just rekindling the thought, since it should become a standard addition to gamers by now.

Yeah, I've been there. I don't like that it squeezes the picture down though.
