Stopping spawn menu from popping up

A few people have PMd me in another forum about this.

Lets say you're dead and there are no flags. But the dern spawn menu keeps popping up. Here's how to get it to stop.

There's an "X" button at the upper right of the map. Hit it and the spawn menu won't pop back up until you hit enter.

Then just hit "C" to cycle through chase-cam on the players still alive on your team. This way - you can watch all the snipers sit there and waste your time.

Thanks. I didnt even know you could press C to follow people :s
If there was no spawn points I would just switch to the squad map view and wait for the little blue or green dot to go away.. hahaha

Yeah this is how we ghost players around on our server if we get a report from a player say for either breaking the rules or tk'ing for jets say.

yep - any player can do it if he suspects somone of cheating. just hit that X and use C to cycle to the culprit.

Its also handy for catching out stat padders on fraps without them even know you are watching muhahaha.

If you die (dead, not unconscious), you can press space to fly around the map in freelook mode. Kinda cool.

Cool. Now I don't have that thing pop up everytime while I'm watching this one guy die for the game to end.

Hell yeah! I hate that damn spawn menu. Every 5 seconds hitting Enter omfg. Thanks alot m8!

Troybob you genius! Thank you! In all my 200 something hours of playing I've always had to keep one finger on the "enter" key whenever I had to watch that lone sniper not cap a flag! Now I can surse him with both hands free!

also you can cleanly exit the game by hitting the console key and typing "exit" and then enter. alt-f4 works too of course.
