i know this is a bit off topic, but with the release of the new bf 2142 in november will we keep our ranks? Many of you know how annoying it is to have to get all those points and medals and stuff. If i have to start all over i am going to give up the battlefield 2 franchise.
I have a question..

Re: I have a question..
um.... im quite sure they are different games.
why dont you just not bother with 2142? a hell of a lot of battlefield fans arent getting it anyway, probably over 50 percent.
oh yeah, and about how annoying it is..... lots of us played back in the ancient bf1942 and mods, where there were no medals and points... and they are put there to be fun, moron. nobodys making you get them. -
Re: I have a question..
i dont see why your ranks would carry over....especially considering he fact there will be fewer/different classes to choose from, and i assume the weapons/unlocks will be different as well.......perhaps the ranking system will be quite different tooComment

Re: I have a question..
well put i guess.
ya well im just hoping not. lol. i spent hours after hours of playing it, like 5 or 6 hours a day. I dont want to have to do all of it over and over. They will probably make one after this called bf 3000 or somtin anyway
too much time wasted i guessComment

Re: I have a question..
I'm going to laugh really hard at the 50 percent of people who decided not to get the game based on a tiny bit of footage. Ha...hahah...hahahaha!
That aside, I think EA would invent new ranks for the new game. Maybe they'll let you carry over some of your global score or give you a few free unlocks if your account has BF2 stats on it. That's just my idea, anyway.Comment

Re: I have a question..
I can honestly say I don't care.
There will always be people better than you in this world, and there will always be people worse than you in this world. What good can possibly come from a line or two of binary code that says what you've "earned" anyway?
Honestly, I think the people who worry about stats must feel to some level like a stat-padder, that their score gained is more important than the fun had in the process.Comment

Re: I have a question..
I dont know what you guys are talking about.. the video I saw looked pretty damn good. LoL!!1!!
But in all seriousness, I seriously doubt that they would, in any way, bring your "achievements" from one game to another. And also, if you think getting the ranks and medals and everything was too much time wasted, then you should probably go play a game like WoW or something. I like the fact that I get rank every so many points and awards for doing certain things, but majority of the time I'm not aiming to get these things. I dont wake up and say "ok time for BF2. Today I'm gonna get my veteran pistol badge."Comment
