Regarding Engineer Repair Points

Tried to do a quick search and couldn't find the answer.

Are you able to get the repair points while sitting in a vehicle and pulling up along side another vehicle to repair them w/o getting out and using the wrench?

I understand it makes the 'wrench' sound, but was wondering if you get the repair points for it.

Im pretty sure you do it works with medic and pulling along side another vehicle
so its only logical to think it works with Engineer too

I have been healing people but i never got the you got a healing point message.

i think you get point only if you heal/repair a MAJOR amount of their health/armor

It's perty arfin slow.

You get your repair points faster if you hop out and wrech a busted vehicle, but by using your radius repair, you can fix more than one vehicle/asset.

Gang up a bunch of engies in a bunch of armour and just let the enemy try ta pound ya. Barring direct hits via arty, bombs, or TVGMs, you're perty much unstoppable.

In my experience it repairs faster from a vehicle. There's times where I've just driven by a broken UAV trailer and it repairs instantly. Like I didn't even slow down, just drove by and it got repaired from dead to functional (still smoking though).

ya, you do repair faster while in a vehicle. Still is slow at getting points though. Something that should be addressed in the future patches.

From my other thread regarding engineer repair points, I found you have to repair 100% of a vehicle to get a point. Obviously you can't do this with 1 vehicle. You will need to heal multiple vehicles adding to 100% to get the point. But yes, in my experience it is faster to heal from inside other vehicles rather than using the wrench. An added benefit is you're not exposed to small arms fire while inside the vehicle (besides FAV/DPV).
