The problem is the GL lag and the bounce...and the lack of any real explosion radius....

And other than the Gl there is no point to assault, don't get me wrong, I used the assault rifle more than the GL, but the gl PLUS the gun made the assault a kit to be reckoned with.

Now that its basically just the gun theres no point, as the PKM just owns the AKs and the m16...and the g3 just plain compared to the PKM.....

G3: Limited ammo, inaccurate, 20 shots per mag
PKM: Unlimited ammo, highly accurate, 100 shots per mag

That says it all....

Don't even mention flashbangs or smoke....the ability to supply teammates way surpasses that...

Just so you know.... the G3 is extremely accurate, I believe it is somewhere around the second-most accurate of all assualt rifles, and the most powerful of any assualt rifle. I love my G3, and routinely kill overconfident PKM'ers with it

The secret to CQC with the PKM is to crouch, not flop. Most people aim for the floor when a support (like me) comes flying at them, so crouching solves that problem by giving good accuracy, aswell as not impeding movement.

I still love the AK-47 and the AK-101. But if I've got s choice between the Assault with it's ocasionally useful GL and smoke or Medic with the same rifle and a revive wand and med kit as well as thrown grenades, I know what I'll be taking.

They should increase either the area of the GL's explosion or increase it's damage. I'd go for area.

Especially as the Russian GL fires air burst munitions. Those are ouchies.

G3 is very accurate so long as you aren't moving around while shooting. If you like to strafe + shoot at the same time in CQC then you will get better accuracy out of the F2000. This is based off the post 1.2 weapons chart that was posted on these forums after the patch.

I think they should bring the noob tube back, and decrease PKM devation to 0.3 or 0.4 instead of 0.1 (sniper mode)
