Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Why not just reduce it to one kit that gets everything? One homogenous kit that includes AT rockets, assault rifle, PKM, pistol, knife, shock paddles, medic bags, armor bags, wrench, mines, claymores (but only 2 that don't teamkill), sniper rifle. There would only be one of each of those things with no differences and no unlocks. The guns would all have the same damage and same accuracy. The only difference would be that the sniper rifle has a scope. Heck, let's give them all scopes. Pistol too. Also, there would only be one level of body armor and everyone could sprint the same distance. Everyone could have exactly the same uniform too (both sides) so that nobody got an inferiority complex because one kit has a beret. Did I leave out anything?
EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that everyone will have an old school noob tube. Sorry for the omission.
Aside from the crippling firing lag for grenade launchers, I think the main reason assault is underplayed/underpowered now is because the LMGs and sniper rifles have gotten so much more effective while assault rifles have remained the same, so I agree with you in those respects. You'd think that if DICE were going to make such drastic changes to one set of weapons that they'd stop to think about how that would affect the relative strength of other weapons.
At this point, I wonder if DICE is ever going to get things right. It just reaffirms my belief that the future of BF2 does, in fact, lie in mods. Maybe I should give the PRMM another look.
