Not very soon, considering most of DICE is now working on Battlefield 2142.

BF2 is dead to d(EA)ice, the only thing in there eyes is BF2142, and maybe if enough people B*tch they will throw us a half finished armored fury

I think 2142 is going to be for the 360, as the head of modern combat is the guy who was showing teh video and doing the speech about it. Wouldn't be suprised if it came to the PC though. my source:

And like tyler said, two different branches of EA are working indepentently, so there shouldn't be a problem.

id say...a very long time...i mean wat can we expect from 1.3...bf2 is kindof getting boring and i feel like i really need something new to play but what new features could 1.3 have? (theres a patter..every the patch version increments by .1 it has new guns/features...1.02->1.12 had new guns 1.12-1.2 had a bunch of new guns and UAV and some problems...

No, Dice (sweden) is working on 2142, armored fury, and the 1.3 patch.

straight from yesterday's community update on EA's site.

"We're developing this here in DICE Stockholm while the DICE Canada studio will be hard at work on a 1.3 update for Battlefield 2, as well as the Armoured Fury Booster Pack."
