What do you anticipate patch 1.3 will deliver?

Today we have some really big news to share with you. The more sniper-eyed of you out there will probably already know, but we're currently hard at work developing "Battlefield 2142", which is scheduled for release this Autumn. As you'll have guessed, this is a departure for the BF series as we're going into the future - something that a lot of you wanted to see happen in the BF universe. We're creating a ton of cool features that you won't have seen in any BF before, including cloaking devices, mines that follow you, awesome new rifles, guns and grenades, and of course, MECHS! We're developing this here in DICE Stockholm while the DICE Canada studio will be hard at work on a 1.3 update for Battlefield 2, as well as the Armoured Fury Booster Pack.

1.3 was announced a long time ago.


Although I hope they get off their asses and get these fixes done ASAP, because i think its safe to assume that the second 2142 goes gold....it will be the end of patch support for BF2.

I'm more looking forward to Armoured Fury than 1.3. I have enough fun with the game as-is and I don't need more changes to mess it up for me. After the mildly disappointing but still fun Euro Forces, Armoured Fury looks amazing.

I assume you mean side from interesting bugs that require a hotfix?

I'm hoping to see a ramping up of the assault kit's power, a bit of TLC to transport choppers, and a real end to the red/blue bug.

I'm fully aware that holding my breath for this is likely a possibly fatal exercise.

PKM nerfage, P90 improved, red/blue bug HOPEFULLY, slight gameplay balance tweaks.

We'll probably get some new bugs as a result, too. :p

sniper zoom! and yeah make assualt class at least as deadly as pkm support class

Who knows, but there are damn good odds it will require a 1.31 hotfix to repair it.

I agree. At this point I want them to just stop touching the game for fear that they'll break it more.

1.3 PLEASE BRING BF2 BACK TO PRE 1.2 PERFORMANCE LEVELS RATHER THAN IGNORING US. MAKE IT A PATCH 1.3 PRIORITY.

isn't Armored Fury due out next Tuesday March 28th? personally i can't wait. they should release an addon pack each month...

I think they delayed AF until April because of the lateness of EF and the patch.
