Can i retrieve my BF2 cd key?

I've long misplaced my little game-book thing (still have case and cd's) and currently have Bf2 installed on the computer. Problem is i want to reformat.

How do i get my cd key back? Is it on my computer somewhere?

Not much you can do other then look for the book.

check in the regedit, some games store the cdkey there

ooo this problem again....it mite not be in ur regedit because i think since 1.03 or something it encrypts ur cd key

best thing to do is to use system restore to a time when u installed bf2 and then chekc the registry

I don't know about the restore method though. I performed a restore to get away from the 1.21 patch and some other non BF2 related driver issues, and was rewarded by the "modified content" error, preventing me from joining most of the servers...
