It's not that bad is it? It's all about your sense of humor. If you want to see a cast like a golf match, you wont find it at BFTV. You can go to EGLN for that. We have a good time casting but yet follow the game in aspect.

Oh and by the way, Team HOT won the match :)

I've seen quite the number of demos from gotfrag.com and yup, cheap tactics very often, c4 chuggin' you name it....

Yesterday, when I found out about BFTV I went to the archives and picked a game: Dignitas vs. Warcild match on the 19/03/2006. to my surprise there were still bunnyhopping and everything just looked well 'cheap' to be honest with childish commentators(who the **** pick these guys anyway?:wall: ). Sorry, but is the bftv made for kids that actually say 'lol' over the voip? If so, then it's just pathetic and **** like this will prevent gaming tv to expand and become respected and popular.<I'd love to see gaming proper and entertaining tv!!

You call these tactics cheap, but that doesn't change the fact that they are 500x better than you will ever be at these 'tactics'. Maybe you should learn to appreciate skill, and get it through your nub heads that even if you banned all of the tactics you deem 'cheap', team HOT would still own the living sh|t out of you and your pubbie nubbie friends.

They didn't design the game, they just play it, and obviously they are going to use whatever the game has to offer, whether be it be cheap or not.

It's hilarious to me that people on this forum cry all day about how this is a team game, but then they show no respect whatsoever to the best TEAMS in BF2, and instead focus all their time on meaningless garbage like who has the most points.

I, as well as many here on the forums, feels that they are 'cheap' tactics(call it whatever you want) and they make for a worse viewing exeperience at least in my opinion. Of course they're good at what they do, and noone claims they're bad per se. Its just that anyone competing with 'cheap' tactics like this is, well imo, regarded as a very good team in special olympics syncronized swimming/whatever. I dont feel like the designers and the competing teams contribute to the gaming tv 'movement' if you know what I mean, but they can do whatever they want....

I guess people like you get entertained by stuff like that, and that's ok we're all perverse in our own ways. I was mearly expressing my dissapointment and stating the weak points of the whole bftv stuff/whatever, as well as a few others in this thread.

I don't feel that squad hopping, C4 jeeping, bunny hopping (or JUMPING, which is what it's really called, and is totally plausible in real life not to mention every FPS ever made) are cheap tactics at all. These things require tons of practice and skill, and if nubs weren't so close-minded maybe they'd realize that.

Like I already said, even if squad hopping, C4 jeeping, bunny hopping, grenade launchers, PKM's, or whatever else you deem cheap were BANNED from CAL competition, they would STILL be the #1 team. That's what matters, so get the sand out of your vag's and bow down.

yeah, disregard the guys whining, the only real cheap tactic that still works is claymore whoring, the rest are all valid, and bunny hopping is a good way to get shot if the enemy has any skill.

except inf4my jumping aint realistic. im not saying it shouldnt be in the game,but try jumping to dodge bullets from somebody 3 feet away from you with an AK-47 in real life, weighed down with the average weight of 50 pounds of equipment and body armor.

I am entertained by competition. And believe me, if squad hopping were removed from BF2, it would be the most boring game on earth to watch.

Saying something is cheap doesn't change the fact that you can't do it as well as somebody else. They are better than you at every single aspect of this game, and that is reason enough to watch them play.

No no, you dont get my point. I have never said I'd kick their asses anytime, quite the contrary. So what's the deal with this "cant do it as well"-stuff?

I'm just more entertained by another kind of gameplay, please understand that. I guess you're satisfied with the way it is, that's ok - I tried to make that clear to you (too bad you failed to understand me.)

We all know that in competitions, like the ones on BFTV, allow the players to c4jihad, bunny hop and dolphin divive for the simple reason that its possible and its a competition - we ALL know that already. Expecting others to respect teams using these 'cheap'(you understand my point with using the word 'cheap' right?) tactics on gaming tv is another thing. You, not respecting my, and prob others, different opinions and saying 'well, they'll own you anyway' sounds like kids arguing in kindergarten going: ""my dad ill take your dad out in no time"... See what I mean?:)

Let me refrase a bit mate so youll understand my point a bit better: Do you agree with me that the mentioned tactics wont help promote BF gaming TV, and the general respect of gaming ? (call it 'cheap' or 'kdjrgkdrhg'/whatever)
Do you also agree to that if the designers would have excluded the mentioned tactics from the game it would have been more enoyable to watch? Combine that with proper commentating and maybe TEAM voip cut-ins and BFTV would certainly grow. Possible even more clans would step up to the gaming scene?
