    totally manuely installing bf2

Ok, my dvd/cd drive is messed up or the BF2 dvd is messed up(i'm going to try to buy a new game soon, if that doesn't work I am going to be forced to reformat)....I can access all the files, The auto run and setup won't work. I uninstalled my game because the singleplayer was messed up. I've tried the system restore feature and it says files are missing still :'(

    Please help. Thanks.

Can you install any other programs/apps using the DVD/CD drive? Does the auto-run work for these? I would check that before buying anything. Also, you might make sure you have current drivers that are working for the drive.

This is my only dvd game. I can install other programs, yes. The autorun doesn't work for any type of disk...I have no idea why(I've set it to default for auto-run). I defragmented both drives last night. I've checked for new drivers, and tried to rollback the drivers, neither worked. I haven't done a spyware check yet. I will run it now, but I highly doubt that is the problem.
