You don't know the half of it. If we get flagged for excessive surfing at work, they put even stricter proxy policies in place- not to metion receiving nasty-grams via email. One of the places I interned at had their proxy blocking CNN, hotmail, gmail, yahoo mail, aim ports, etc. Network nazis...

Then my buddy showed me the beauty of SSH. Sure, it's all text and it's a little hard to get used to at first, but it will never get blocked (even if they block port 22, I can just forward another port to my box at home) and I don't ever have to hear about excessive surfing at work. (not that I do that, anyway)

I'm not at work yet. But I will be in about 30 minutes. And I'm on my last two days of work. I'm changing jobs. So I don't plan on doing ****. Except Surf

Heh. Restrict me all you want. But when admins like you leave ports open (like 21, 22, 80, etc) your precious proxy will do little to stop determined people like me. Sure you, could put restrictions on destinations with those port numbers, but I'll just jump somewhere else. Muahahaha.

That is the beauty of working in a university! browsing anything is allowed during work (except for running your won profitable business).

I keep the browser's window open most of the time. I check the forums from time to time while waiting for some tasks to finish. I do not have that powerful machine to play at work and I wont do that anyway. Good CPU but GeForce 5600 sux!

If I feel one day that this game is affecting our marriage then I will definitely not hesitate to eBay BF2's DVD. I do not play much these days anyway.

I'm in IT as well. Much of the other 4,000 folks in my company couldn't get to this site but I get around our proxy server because of my job. I never post at home, only at work....Home is for killing, work is for posting...

Keep jumping. Any good admin would simply report that the traffic level of your node exceeds that of anyone else (or atleast the limits a regular working user would be using), and you'd be out on your ass looking for a job.
