Demand that servers play Operation Clean Sweep 24/7
Start a kickvote against anyone stupid enough to start a mapvote for Strike at Karkand while you are living the dream on Gulf of Oman
Dragon Valley, Fushe Pass, Wake Island, Daqing Oilfields - play them all

The madness stops here - Karkand isnt even a fun map let alone a balanced one

So Anything But Karkanders unite - together we will prevail

I try and only play on servers that play ALL maps.

I can't stand 24/7 Karkand servers...sure, Karkand is a GREAT map...but the point whores and stat padders tend to gravitate to it and leads to some real crap gameplay.

Playing Karkand amongst a rotation of ALL the other maps is a different and much more fun animal altogether.

I would love to see all the maps too, unfortunately my PC stutters the first 10 minutes after loading, therefore I enjoy playing in 24/7 servers.

Get 2 GB of RAM if you can afford it. That problem will go away.

Either that or turn down your graphics settings.

Karkand is one of the most overrated maps in this game. Some of the peeps say it is an awesome map because it focuses on infantry more than vehicles....well, to tell you the truth, I think it's more-so for the points system that these people play on for.

I mean, I don't know how many times I've come on a Karkand server, taken a tank and rarely ever die...why? Well, the plain answer is that there are only 1-2 vehicles on the 32 player component, and then I get messages like "kick mach, he's tank whoring" or "get out of the tank and fight like a real man".

Instead of following their praise on how infantry maps rock, these same people cannot adapt by doing what they claim they should be doing: act as a team and play as infantry.

I played Operation Clean Sweep last night (still my fav. map) and we played as a engineer squad of tanks: 2 of us against their tanks. We were 2 tanks against every other APC and tank on the map, and we took care of them.. No infantry needed, all it took was to adapt and find a way to move along the beach without dying too much.

I just want to express, again, that this game is best played with vehicles, and that I love being infantry as much as the next guy, but I love that I can have a full tank assault warfare knowing that I am being helped by compotent teammates over VoIP.

I prefer the city maps (Karkand, Sharqi, Mashtuur / Ghost Town, Warlord / Great Wall), but I do enjoy playing the others as well. A couple of my guys will get a kick out of this... ABK, Xanthias, ABK!!! LOL

however I average about 70 fps after those stutter, there really isn't no need for me to turn down anything.

I think they are ALL my favourites..but I've had some good times on Songhua for sure!

There were 6000 servers in my browser last time I did a full refresh. There are lots of options other than 24/7 karkand, plenty of them with good ping for me.

i guess if you're in low earth orbit and the only server within 300ms is a 24/7 karkand, you might have an issue.
