Ingame does not show my soundcard

What I get is software showing for my sound in the options audio menu, but my mic works in Windows as an Sb-Live device. How to enable it? I can see VOIP enabled in the options but the ingame test button cannot be pushed, grayed out for wont of a way of putting it. Mic does work within Windows and also in the setup outside of the game.
Any thoughts on this problem? TIA

Have you try Creative's Autoupdate to make sure everything is updated?
