    Re: Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter

2013. You really think in 7 years they'll be walking around with helmets with little computers and monitors built in that can see through walls and identify targets? And that they'll be walking through dangerous streets in very small fireteams in close formation with little firepower and no cover? The handsignals are ridiculous too, they're all 1 metre apart and it doesn't look like they're being stealthy to me.
    Complete bollocks.
The military has already made a futuristic warrior system, there was a thing on the history channel about it on that show called "modern marvels" They take a normal infantry soldier and they give him a gun that has night vision and thermal vision, I forgot what gun they will be using for it. Oh yeah and they also have a camera mounted onto it so the soldier can look around corners while only exposing his gun. And they have to wear a battery pack on their backs to supply the cameras and computer with power. From the gun to the helment is a cord that links all the cameras and the computer up to the soldiers HUD, which is a little green glass piece over the soldiers eye. They could already have issued it but it exceeds the weight limit a soldier can carry, so now they are working on trying to reduce the weight. And another problem is that the battery pack only lasts for about 8-10 hours I believe. So yeah it is posible and the military is already working on it.

The only practical systems I've seen are things like managing blood pressure and heart rate so the medic squads can pre-emptively save lives if needed.

Anyhoo, it's just a game. No realism needed here. As long as people aren't bunny hopping and firing at full auto at 200 meters I'll be happy.
care to tell me how the gun cam, MR-C(caseless ammo carbine) liquid armor, has a fancy name which i forgot which weighs a fraction of the weight and in several years will be able to stop most bullets. Its already used in other applications. In competitive skiing its starting to be used as padding for racers in slaloms as those poles do hurt.

Iguess multicam is a POS too, works in all terrains(desert, urban, woodland), who would want that? sounds worthless only bad thing about it is the cost(which would be worked down if it became the official camo of the army and such)

the ability to jump in GRAW is non existent, the devs are keeping it as close to the GR1 gameplay as possible(without making it just an updated version)

you need to look at some of the programs in FFW, the lot of them are quite remarkable.

mostl ikely that was land warrior, which is dead in favor of OFW(also dead now I think, with the exception of the XM8/29/25) and FFW.

the batteries expected to be used in much of the equipment could last roughly 20 hours+(think about your Ipod)
      FFW program

      MR-C

      Multicam
MultiCam® is the combat-proven camouflage solution for concealment in widely varied and mixed terrain. Explore the full pattern family.

Other stuff by Crye(they are making a large portion of the stuff for FFW)

Armor- much more effective than current armor and gives more protection(albeit more heavy)

Here's a nice quote for you.

Evolution, in every concievable context, occurs in the field, not in the labratory. If you'd like to witness the marraige of overpaid industrial designers with rediculous military spending, then by all means, enjoy the Future Warrior Program. It's not my understanding that sticking a TV into a soldier's helmet and wrapping him in glorified graph paper makes a soldier a "Superior Combat Entity"

most of this stuff will be fielded and improved based on the results of what soldiers say. for example the ACU has been modified several times already based on soldier complaints

Why you'll need the new AGEIA card to get the '' full '' experience.

(Side by side comparison of the explosions with and without the ageia card, the ageia card demonstration is on the right side)

Played a bit of Ghost Recon, but I prefer the Rainbow Six games... such as Vegas... that game is awesome.

Does anyone else beside me think that the Ghost are wearing a Dragonskin vest? Because of the fact that they can take so many rounds before dying.
