I don't know how anybody could have been reading the forums for the past week and make some dumbass remark like "only 1% of the people were having problems.


You would have to be a complete freakin moron to believe that.

And EF sucks. It might have been a nice map upgrade, but because of all the bs you will find it hard to even find a server to play on if you do get it up and running.

Maybe someday it might get a better reputation, but don't feel like you are missing anything. Because you aren't

If the server is running BF2 vanilla and it switches to an EF map......people leave.

Maybe if its just on EF then maybe. I haven't had much luck so far.

I've also heard the servers are having trouble running EF. Its even more problematic to keep the server up then it was with the original "code of Jokes"

And just so I don't have to come back and follow up on this post.

I'll tell anyone who flames me about my post in advance.

this is complete biased b*******.

99 percent of people downloaded it fine, and are happy with it.

as usual, the other 1 percent come to whine and complain ceaselessly, and make pointless polls indicating how much they hate EA.

dont buy the damn game if you dont like it.

Dont knock it, that 1% got the entire game changed last patch :P

Yeah, Id get it again. I feel I defo got my moneys worth. New weapons are great (I personally feel some of them are better than vanilla BF2s weapons). Great Wall is an excellent map.....I dont feel that Tanks and APCs dominate this at all, no more than vanilla BF2 Maps. Most of the action I see is on the walls anyway.

Quarry is also a great map...I dont understand why so many people dont like it ??? The focal point of the map is the main bridge and I love the battles here. It usually 'goes off' BIG TIME !!

More infantry maps would have been nice, but great effort... 8.5 out of ten !!

EF is just ok, to be honest Great Wall is my Fav, Smokespleen and Quarry are just tank vs. Tank vs. Helo vs. jet. If you aren't lucky enough to get one of the vehicles you are just SOL. Also Smokescreen brings my PC to its knees, and I got a 4000+ in 3DMark 2006, the smoke jacks with my AA and I have to turn it off, then the game has to rerender every time. What a pain. All in all I look forward to Armored Fury and then Ghost Recon:AW I will prolly stop playing BF2 for a while after that comes out.

Sup bro, i think it might be something with your drivers. or maybe memory, cause if you are running sli there's no way that smoke would make the game play that bad, i have a single 7800GT and i got no problems with the smoke. I seen a little hick up once while i was a gunner on a helo inside the smoke, but besides that is ok. Now the tear gas smoke from special forces sometimes makes my card want to die.

I've only played it for the first time last night since installing and only played Smokescreen on MP so far...have to say i do like like it and for at least half of the map i wasn't actually in a tank and when i was it was the AA ones. Other than that i was running around as AT and doing a good job of it...like i say i've only played this map so far so not sure on the over all package but seems fine to me at the moment!

Definitely not. With the exception of great wall, all of the maps are just 100% vehicle combat. There's like 2 tanks that spawn at each flag. That's cool if you're into that, but i like to play infantry.

Hell yeah, although not great it does offer more variaty.

Yes despite scepticism after SF, EF is well worth the cash, buy it!
