scratched disk 2

...I uninstalled BF2 a few days ago for whatever reason and then tried to reinstall it and now I cant. Every time I try to install disk 2 it will not let me. First I got the "Failed to install BF2, please try again from the beginning.",
then I tried to copy it to my hard drive which stopped near the end on disk 2 again with this error...
- - - Cannot copy data 3: data error (cyclic redundancy check)...
so I the retard that I am look a lil bit closely at disk 2 and notice its slightly scratched in a tiny spot. I remember having problems with disk 2 last year when I first bought this game and then i had to edit some files that I read on EA then it worked, but I couldnt find anything on it and now nothing seems to work. My only guess Im just riding on hope because my game wont install because of the scratch. But I believe I had this problem b4 just cant remember how to fix it. Any help would help a lot! Thnx ahead of time.

Call EA and request a new copy of the game. If you have your CD key and/or a receipt they'll probably do it.

Oh and next time, fire up Alcohol 120 and image each cd, then use daemon tools to mount the image for cd1. No more hunting for game cd's.
