Change fov while watching demo

Hi,

it is possible to change the fov (field of view) while I watch the demo? I've tried renderer.fov renderer.fieldofview etc but doesn't work. Any idea? Thx. :)

Do you mean 'during' the playback so that you can have a variety of FOV settings during the one demo ... or establishing a specific FOV for the full duration of the playback? If you mean the former, I'm not sure that's possible (my guess is that it's not). The latter, on the other hand, is entirely possible and very easy:

These are the basic steps (I'm sure you know the first few but just in case):

1. Place the demo(s) you wish to view into the appropriate folder. Default:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Demos

2. Open the Windows XP command prompt.
Click: START > Run. Type: cmd

3. Via the command prompt, change the directory (cd) to the Battlefield 2 install directory. eg. Type the following:
cd C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2

4. Now that the proper directory is showing, type the following command:
demo +fov xxx DemoName

(Where xxx is your desired field of view -- eg. 120 or 180 -- and DemoName is the name of the *.bf2demo file you intend to view.

Yes, I wanted to change the fov during the playback, but the other method you've explained will work great too. Thank you very much.
