There was a thread recently about what weapons members have fired, and even though I didn't respond to that thread, I think I would win in the "biggest weapon" catagory, since I actively partcipated in the install & launch of a Minute Man III I.C.B.M. from Vandenberg, AFB :)

Anyways, I was wondering what guns people actually own as far as collector's pieces go.

I like guns that have some historical significance. For instance, I have:

- Remington 03-A3 (30-.06) This rifle was manufactured in 1943 and was an issued weapon in WWII. I have the original accessories that came with it as well. It's also in firing condition, though I have never fired it myself.

- Mauser 98 (30.06) Made in 1942, and was a German issued weapon.

- El Tigre .44L This is a lever action .44 CAL rifle. It was made by a Spanish company, and is a direct copy of the popular Winchester 92. The rifle wasn't just another knock off though, it competed with the Win 92 on the battle field, and those two rifles were "The rifles that one the west." I just need a Win 92 to go with it.

- Winchester 94 Made after the 92, and not as significant, but is still a nice lever action rifle.

- Browning Auto 5 "Sweet 16" (16 Gauge). The SN on this gun places it in the first batch ever made (Pre WWII) and the mark "BROWNING AUTOMATIC ARMS CO. OGDEN UTAH-U.S.A." makes it one of the first 10,000 shipped to the US.

- Winchester 1897 (SN dates it to 1898) I actually thought this was a later mode from WWII, and would have been refered too as a "Trench Gun," but it's actually much older. Oh well, still a great piece.

- Savage 420 Over/under This one is just too cool to me. I mean c'mon, it has two triggers!


Those are some of the collector's rifles/shotguns that I have.

another airsoft fan... nice, a have a few myself. My dad any I own a few rifles ourselves, two of which are a K98 Mauser and an SKS. I also collect bayonets too.

more realistic than paintball guns


anyway, I own a lot of guns, half of which are historical in value. Most are from ww2, i'd list them but...it'd take too long...and I'm lazy...:p

To play airsoft, they get more use that normal guns unless you're a psycho that shoots people.

So that you can legally shoot people without a license

Can also use them with 6mm paintballs if you want the game to look more realistic. Most airsoft models have working safetys, select fire and changable magazines as per the real guns (the P90 safety is horrible in real life :hmm: )

Well they are not exactly collector pieces, but i have a

Remington .22 Rimfire
Remington 30 ot 6 Hunting Rifle


I also have a .22 Rimfire Shotgun (the weakest shotgun ever :p)

i wouldn't be able to get you a picture of mine seeing as how they are in Wyoming...and i am in Virginia, but you can attempt to google image it, but google is really unreliable when searching specific gun models + caliber

You're going to have to define "not as significant". The 94' is probably the most recognized, most popular, and most produced sporting rifle in American history. It had a production run of well over 100 years, with it sadly being discontinued only this year.

Anyways, I have a WWII era 94' chambered for .32 Win Special. Also have a Sweet Sixteen from the 1920's carrying 2-5/8" chambers. My personal favorite though is a Fox Sterlingworth 12ga, it is special to me as it was owned by my grandfather.

I don't consider any of these "collector's guns" though. To me that suggests my only interest in them would be monetary and that is far from the case. The 94' sees regular duty alongside my more modern guns while the Sterlingworth and the Browning have been mostly retired to the shelf. The Browning because of the difficulty in obtaining the proper shells, and the Sterlingworth because of a small crack in the stock at the base of the tang that needs to be restored at some point.

94' on the bottom, Sterlingworth in the middle. Don't have the Sweet Sixteen here at the moment but threw in another Browning (BSS 20ga) to take it's place. :)

Auto ER, i have one of those as well, but my spare mag is a Glock 17 with a +2 shoe on it for 19 rounds of Winchester Ranger SXT LEO ammo on tap. Loaded mag is a 10+2 with Speer Gold Dots.

I currently own a Glock 26, a Norinco made 1911 A1c in .45ACP, a Colt .22 pistol, two Uberti Cattelman .357Magnum SA revolvers, a Rossi Puma lever rifle in .357Mag, a Pietta C&B .36 1851Navy and a Pietta C&B .44 1851 Navy, as well as a Remington 870 12 guage 3" chamber.
