Ok, What's with the VOip? How come i can't talk through my mic? It says i dont need additional software. -_- And then, one server i joined, it worked, but every other one, all the members and stuff in my squad have the speaker icon by their name, and im the only one that doesn't...What's wrong??

voip sometimes doesn't always work. My friend and I sometimes will join a server and get into a squad with each other, and one persons voip just wont work. Don't know why so...just have to hope that when you join it won't goof up

Something you should be aware of is that a LOT of servers list having BattleComs (the in-game VOIP) on, but don't have it set up correctly.

This drove me crazy trying to figure out WTF was going on before I discovered this.

Here's a server that's got it working at 100%: 209.160.40.25

It can sometimes be a little hard ta get in tho.
My advice is to find a server where you can verify that it's working (and you enjoy playing on) and stick to it.

Ya, Wargimp is right. I find this a pain so when my friends and I play, I just go to a EA US official server. Sure there is no admin, but voip always works, and if there is a problem, there are a ton of other ea official servers to go to

Oh yeah... do make sure that your mic is working by testing it in the audio setting screen. If it works there, it will work in-game.

One more note: Plenty of times people's voices don't come in very well at all. Most of the time the problem is simply that they don't have their mic close enough to their mouth!

For some reason, I always have to ALT TAB and uncheck the mute on my mic in control panel. As long as I stay on the same server, it stays enabled, but if I switch severs, I have to ALT TAB and reenable it again. Annoying, but I'm used to it.

VOIP is now my best friend
used to keep it off because I heard it hurt performance
and our clan uses Ventrilo
but now we all strated using VOIP so we can talk to non-clan
commander, squad mates etc
we now avergage 18 wins in 20 games
and have won most over 200 pts or better to zero?
we use to win about 60% before but avg win was less than 50 points per win
coincidence?
maybe - but I really think it is VOIP
epecially when used by gunner pilot in helo/jet
and when commander actaully talks with SL etc
