I think you need to host it someplace other than filecloud.
mytube is better for casual viewing an has unlimited upload allowance.

I hear ya... but putfile also has a fullscreen mode that would allow you to see the vid properly. It's only 16 meg, so you shouldn't have issues with size.

Providing the link would let people deside if they really wanna see the DLable version too.

Meh, bit the bullet and am DLing from filecloud. Give some real feedback shortly.

Nice first effort.

Some creative use of camera angles 'n stuff.
Panning/tracking shots could use a little work. They're and amazing pain, aren't they? Hehe, almost impossible to get a good smooth pan going. A tip I found to be handy... grip the mouse with both hands, one over the other and consentrate on very slow/smooth movement. It may help to turn your sensitivity down too.

I liked that you showed yourself getting shot down instead of just a pure "lookit me own" flick.

Did you record a cammera before using Fraps to capture the vid? Judging from the visable mouse pointer in the begining, I'm thinkin ya didn't. It's a very handy way to make sure you're going to get the shots you want. It also alows you to use the console command "renderer.DrawHud 0" to get rid of tags and the scrolling kill info. You might want that info displayed so you can show who/what killed who/what, but for a vid, I find it a detractor.

The use of slow-mo is a good idea, but to make it work better, try upping the framerate of your capture. Otherwise you get a stuttering effect that sorta digs on the eyes.

Finnally, is it just me or was playback perty variable? I saw alot of changes in speed/frame rate that didn't seem intentional.


As I say, very good first effort. I'm gonna have to bit the bullet here 'n put something out.

Great video for a first, you're definitely above most of the "first" videos here. If you plan on releasing more videos, I highly recommend you switch from Windows Movie Maker to either Vegas or Premiere.
