i get about 1/8 of the way through patching and it says "PATCHING FAILED" and i can only press OK to exit the screen, then i have to re install my game..
I finally got it working again although some servers still give me the usual "unmodified content" crap which is why I reinstalled in the first sodding place.
I installed BF2, then installed SF and the patch it comes with (although I had to constantly try to patch the game because it kept on failing, after about 6 re-tries nothing happened and SF installed as normal).
I then downloaded (from EA downloader) and installed the full 1.21 patch which took ages but finally got there. Then installed EF.
The game works again now but again, some servers still give me the unmodified content bull***t. I've been all over the forums looking for resolve but in the end, installing the way I've just stated and a little annoying persistence got me through.
I'm glad I'm back on but my cod, it shouldn't have to be this way.
Sort it out EA, if world domination over game titles is where you're heading you'd better get better at progamming or be prepared to face a revolution!
I get this all the time. What I found was my reinstalling and I would copy over something from BF2 before I got all the patches on. Whether it was a profile or just having an original folder structure. If you have a clean HDD, I don't know what to tell ya. But if you started from scratch, just make sure you go all the way to the point you could login BEFORE you move any profiles stuff over. Did you make sure you EA folder was deleted too from Program Files too?
