Ok, I'll ask....Why do you want to uninstall it?

You can uninstall the EA Downloader and that should do it.

Yes uninstalling EA downloader should do it, I probably need to uninstall and then reinstall EF too....I can only play one map.

Mainly because I borrowed my friends account to play EF but since we can't both use it. I'm going to buy my own but its still connected to his account. So I need to uninstall but I don't want to uninstall both. However I don't think uninstalling the EA Downloader will work cause you can run EF without the downloader.

You dont have to unload EF.

Just open the EAD and use the logout in the top right corner. Now, right click the EAD icon in the bottom right had side of you desktop. The login screen will open. Type in your EA account name and password and login.

To save time in downloading EF again, just copy the files from your buddies EAD profile directory to your new directory. Now delete your buddies EAD profile and his BF2 profile from your BF2 game login screen.

Now go play the game with your gamespy/BF2player name.

If you did uninstall EAD, then you would still need to delete your buddies BF2 login from in the BF2 game (or delete the profile from your BF2 documents folder), since the EF booster is tied to the players profile and not dependant on whether the EAD is installed or not.

Once EF is installed and your BF2 profile is associated with your EA account, you do not need the EAD anymore.

No. That is not right, you don't understand how the system works. EF is not installed to his friends account, it is installed to his system and integrated right in with normal BF2. When a player logs in to their account there is a check to see if EF is tied to that account you are logging on with.

If I'm reading the OP right, you have EF on your computer, but it was downloaded by your friend and you have been playing on his account because that is the one tied to the EF purchase correct? If that is the case you don't need to do anything with the copy on your computer or the EA downloader for that matter. All you need to do is go to the EA website and purchase a copy using your BF2 player name. That's it. When you login under your own account it will recognize that your account now has permission to play EF. Furthermore, you can log into your account on any computer that has EF installed and will be allowed to play, also your friend can still log into his account on your computer and be able to play.

You need to read the quote in my post. He said he was going to purchase his own copy. Once he does that, the EAD on his computer still has his buddies login info, remember, it saves the login password info by default (prechecked to save password). He will need to logout of his buddies account then login using his account if he wants to remove his buddy from his copy of EAD.

So, my info was correct, just that I did not repeat his need to make the purchase since he already said he was going to.

Also, since he wanted to remove his buddy from his computer, he will need to delete his bf2 player profile that he used to play EF using his buddies account.

No your info is wrong. You can make the purchase independent of the downloader, he doesn't need to do anything with the downloader at all. He also never said he "wanted" to take his buddys login info from his computer, he certainly can, but he doesn't need to. You also stated that EF was installed to his friends account on his computer, which is entirely false.

All the install of EF does it add 3 maps to your BF2 dir, nothing else really.

You only need the downloaded to download the EF files and decrypt them. Once it's done you can get rid of the EAD or not but that doesn't uninstall anything.

You don't need the EAD to change your nick as it can be down from www.ea.com

Can someone tell me exactly what I have to do. I have been using my friends account to download EF. Then I used his BF2 account to play EF. Now if I buy EF and it pops up on my downloader. Than I don't have to do anything else. Just delete my friends profile in BF2 and log into mine and thats it?

                      Thanks,

Re: How do you uninstall Euro Forces

Interesting thing....I installed my euro force on two computers. My roommate then bought it, but didn't download it. My install will let us both play. I think when connecting to the account server it verifies if that user name can play it, nothing more. The files for the euro force download don't have anything specific about the user who bought it. So euro force will accept anyone who has paid for it on their gamespy ID.
