CTD Power Supply or Driver

Hey everyone,

I cannot play BF2 1.21 for more then 5 minutes before it crashes to desktop. This was not an issue w/ 1.2. I'm wondering if you can think of a reason why patch 1.21 would be drawing more power then patch 1.2. I couldn't think of a reason so I tried updating the my drivers to the latest and that didn't help anything. Same problem on Rainbow6: lockdown, but not on Need for Speed Most Wanted.

i dont know how it can be a patch issue if another game has the same problem

you didnt say but i have found two types of CTD, one where something hoses up and the game closes and takes a while to spool down, the other is when 'poof' you are suddenly back at the desktop as if you were not even just playing a few seconds ago. might help diag ...

of course the real question is what else was changed?
