No problems here either with a 6600GT 128mb 1.5gb ram, average about 50fps on medium 2x aa. Playing on 64 players on 32 sized maps. In fact i get better performance in EF than vanilla.

      Pardon?

You don't even seem to realise what we are talking about.
      I said nothing about 1.12 SF and 1.2 BF2.

I am talking about EF vs BF2 on 128M cards.

Please, if you don't actually understand the issue, don't bother posting ignorant insults.

Thanks to various posters who noted their 128M cards are doing OK with EF - I will try a few different settings. Maybe it's my res, or AA or AF.

I have everything on LOW, with AGP aperture on 64, 1152x864, AA 2x, AF Low.

I beg to differ, i run BF2 on Med to high settings, 100% View Distance, Texture filtering and AA on full. I run at 1024 x 768. My specs are 1 GB or RAM, 6600GT PCIe, and an Athlon 64 3000+. I run at these settings at around 40-50 fps on average. Euro Forces runs no differently than vanilla BF2. All they are is new maps.

          Thanks for your reply,
          yes, it's odd...

A few people get these slowdowns, but not everyone - looks like I am in the minority :-(

I just tried again with some slightly INCREASED settings on a map with only 35 players and had no such slowdowns - weird.

It may be related to number of players ?

          I expect your fast CPU/FSB helps (I only have a Barton 2800.)

Added: Also, PCie cards don't have a system RAM aperture - I think this is the key factor (I can't turn my aperture off.)

          Anyway - I'm having fun - good maps :-)

Get another 128 6600gt. I have two(SLI) and 2g RAM. Works perfectly. This would be a relatively inexpensive way to improve your system. 120-150 bucks. Or less.
